CIC provides evidence-based training in Family Strengthening, Parenting, Financial Literacy, Anger Management, Upward Mobility, Employment Readiness, and
Computer Literacy plus more….  We have a men's support group, a women's support group as well as a parent advisory board that meets monthly.  We focus on building resilience, and protective and promotive factors to reduce risks and to create optimal outcomes for children, youth and families.  We seek to create parents and  individuals as decision makers and leaders who value the institution of family.   In Linden, NJ CIC operates a Linden Family Success Center program.

The CIC Commumity Garden

Picture
The CIC Linden Family Success Center program, in partnership with Elizabeth Works Come Grow With Us and United Way, has a twenty (20) bed community gardening project located on the grounds of 1st  Baptist Church, Linden where the families of the church also assists with this  effort.  Tomatoes, eggplants, string beans and melons are a few of the crops  that are successfully grown.  The youth made stuffed eggplant parmigiani- most never having eaten  this veggie before - however it resulted in their  requesting second helpings.
